Common questions
- What is a cryptogram? A short passage where every letter has been swapped for another. Your job is to work out the substitution and reveal the original text, one letter at a time.
- How do I get started? Tap a scrambled letter, then choose the letter you think it stands for. Short words and repeated letters are usually the easiest way in.
- Where is my progress stored? On your phone. Each solved puzzle is saved to the device straight away, so your progress survives switching apps or restarting.
- I am stuck on a puzzle. Use the hint to reveal one letter, or clear the puzzle from its menu and try a fresh approach.
- How do I start over? Settings has a reset option, which asks for confirmation first.
